By the way, I expect "Raspberry Beret" will walk this but feel free to be contrarian and prove me wrong.

if its either raspberry beret over and over again or just tons of anything by dr. dre, i'd take dr. dre

I think "Staying Alive" could be rather inspirational in this kind of situation, and according to the AMA provides just the right rhythm for it you need to resuscitate yourself

nabisco, Saturday, 21 February 2009 00:17 (seventeen years ago)

yourself!!!

Meat Loaf is pretty torturous, but at least the songs are really long.

I will never not love "American Pie"

if you like it then you shoulda put a donk on it (bernard snowy), Saturday, 21 February 2009 03:51 (seventeen years ago)

although the "this'll be the day that I die" part might have the opposite effect of "Stayin' Alive"

if you like it then you shoulda put a donk on it (bernard snowy), Saturday, 21 February 2009 03:52 (seventeen years ago)

meatloaf

yah w/ u on this, fuck u if u hate this song

s1oncki punch (k3vin k.), Saturday, 21 February 2009 05:39 (seventeen years ago)

probably march of the pigs. i like the song, plus i wouldn't want anything to catchy, cloying, or easy to memorize. something soft might be better, because they'd probably be blasting the shit while trying to sleep, but i think march of the pigs could almost sound droney after a while.

american pie would be a sure-fire way to drive me insane to the point of catatonia after about 12 consecutive listens.

fwiw (rockapads), Saturday, 21 February 2009 09:00 (seventeen years ago)

American Pie

ablaeser, Saturday, 21 February 2009 15:35 (seventeen years ago)

There's just enough white noise in those NIN songs to put me to sleep.

Tourtiere (Owen Pallett), Saturday, 21 February 2009 15:41 (seventeen years ago)

Sesame Street theme.

Pashmina, Saturday, 21 February 2009 15:51 (seventeen years ago)

AC/DC has the least amount of prickly edges and ticks that would end up driving me insane in the long run. Just clean, inoffensive hard rock, which is probably why they've remained so popular amongst people who aren't really "into" music.
