still 50/50 on the vocals, but it's pretty good. by 2010 all bands will be all synthy and such.

"all synthy" = helvetica

Is the future finally upon us?!

(liking this track, btw)

if "all synthy" means bit-crushed logic express plug-ins then i really hope not

not overly impressed on first listen. doesn't stand out enough from all the other 'synthy' music around at the moment

why is the voice mixed like twice as loud as everything else in the track? sounds like a rough mix or something.

Yo, I just copped dat brand new Manity Kane cd. (M@tt He1ges0n), Tuesday, 17 February 2009 22:33 (seventeen years ago)

that Gold Lion song made me write them off completely. This, however, doesn't suck at all. Is this wonky pop or electordribble? I haven't been following those threads.

bendy, Tuesday, 17 February 2009 22:36 (seventeen years ago)

^ yes

contenderizer, Tuesday, 17 February 2009 22:37 (seventeen years ago)

"Gold Lion" was the worst song on an otherwise terrific album.

YYY's make me happy.

"why is the voice mixed like twice as loud as everything else in the track? sounds like a rough mix or something."

yeah, this kind of ruins it for me. wasn't sure if it was my crappy laptop speakers or not.

The imeem stream is distorting the mix a little. Her vocal really is out front, but the better quality mp3 keeps everything proportional.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 18 February 2009 00:30 (seventeen years ago)

that last record was so boring, thank god this is a bit more energetic.

Took 'em long enough to do something truly energetic (but I am glad they finally got there) -- some bands benefit from obsessive structure more than others.
