Well, I adored Kiss in the Dreamhouse, but this single off their following album has to be their most perfect moment for me. A locked in riff that seems to take off into the blue with splashes of piano and dream guitar by Robert Smith (during his short innings as a banshee). I'm still not sure what it's all about, but she seems to have lighted on seahorses because it's the males that become pregnant. There's the familiar siouxie theme of violence against women, and talk of 'pointless torture'.
It still sounds urgent, haunted.

I dreamed a music video for this song. I vaguely remember abstract grayish horses and a purple-ish ocean. (I didn't really see a full-length video in my dream.)

This is a great song but I wouldn't venture to guess what the hell any of her lyrics were about, and I think that was the point, at least on the Hyaena album. They were weird, meaningless lyrics and I liked it that way.
