Yanni, whose real name is John Y. Christopher, was arrested on a first-degree misdemeanor charge of domestic battery after girlfriend Silvia Barthes, 33, called 911 from a bathroom during an argument. When authorities arrived, she said the musician had shaken and slapped her, then threw her on a bed and jumped on her when he ordered her to move out of his $7.7 million oceanfront home, according to the police report. Her lip was swollen and bloody, according to the report, but she told officers she thought she might have hit herself when Yanni shook her.
