This is true.

TYTFIL is great, and probably a better song than Shout At The Devil, but the very beginning of the latter makes my spine tingle. The chords, the high hat...you know something's coming, and it's angry.

i have shameless and unironic love for this record. voted for the title track, but to be honest, i included "in the beginning" as an intro in that vote.

I always wondered why they were shouting at the devil. Were they angry with him? If the Crue can make Satan their bitch, I don't think we have much to worry about the evils of Hell.

i think i go with the "functionally illiterate" theory on that one

I thought "In the Beginning" was pretty creepy when I was 13.

I still play this album to this day.

Vince Neil has the weirdest enunciation of any lead singer I've ever heard. My old circa-1983 tape of Shout at the Devil had no lyrics, and throughout that decade I had no idea what the dude was carrying on about.

Wow - I'm reading 'The Dirt' for the first time now (plowed through 350 pages yesterday - it's a page turner), so this Poll is timely, as of course I'm playin' what 'rekkids I have by them today. This one got the most plays and OTM on TYTFIL - it is such a fun song.

Too Young to Fall in Love has about the best 80s metal video this side of Rock You Like a Hurricane.

You have Nikki Sixx fighting freaking ninjas!!! The only thing is missing is the flying pentagrams off of the kick drums.

Look's That Kill's video is definitely in the post-apocalyptic band in a cage with a bunch of women in rags video, which Rock You Like A Hurricane is the zenith.

Props to the flying pentagrams, that is such a classy touch.

At least I could understand Joey. Neil's is just beyond weird, especially on those first two albums...but it somehow fits with the music.

my favorite jam on this record is the 12-stringy deep-thinkin' reflective "God Bless the Children of the Beast." As to the Crue in general, I hate all you fuckers that diss them but shot all the people who like them.
