Recently I've been digging sets from http://mnmlssg.blogspot.com/2008/09/mnml-ssgs-mx11-silent-servant.html"">Silent Servant, http://www.residentadvisor.net/podcast-episode.aspx?id=135"">Marcel Dettmann, http://mnmlssg.blogspot.com/2008/11/mnml-ssgs-mx12-donato-dozzy-live.html"">Donato Dozzy and stuff from Sandwell District and Ostgut Ton label. Does anyone know more things like this? Cold, monotonous, icy techno. Thanks.

The perfect genre.

The 2nd part of the Dozzy set is borderline genius.

Good timing that Studio 1 just got reissued

ben klocks ep and album are filling in this hole for me, and agree, that marcel dettman mix was very enjoyable for when in the mood for icy techno.

that dettman mix is the best mix i heard last year, spine tingling at times. All the berghain residents (norman nodge, dettman, ben klock, marcel fengler etc) deal in this sort of stuff. Early pansonic/0 and the sahko label in general wrote the book on this vibe and sleeparchive resurrected it a few years ago. Also check Kassem mosse who hasnt been about long but has some sick EPs out recently

"pansonic/0 and the sahko label in general wrote the book on this vibe and sleeparchive.."

I think they're not the stuff that I'm looking for. A bit too cold. I'm more into stuff that has more "thump" like Sandwell District, Ostgut Ton, Convextion.

Sturm - Sturmgesten. Cold, minimal, techno music for dancefloors at sub zero temperatures.

Ultra-classic but an utterly essential piece of this "genre":

Another oldie-but-goodie (the entire album is fantastic):
