apparently power 92 which is the rap station here in chicago is telling djs they cant play house music or 'old school' (as 70s/80s dance music/disco is called here) which sucks in my opinion because it gave a real unique, chicago-originated vibe to the 'sound of the streets' rap station 'round here.
here's a free mix that power 92 dj Boolumaster made, inspired by this unfortunate decision (as an old school head hes not real happy with it either)a lot of dance/house heads will probably dig it, its only like 32 mins long but thats how he rolls (i think its gonna end up on the radio here too, probably on the last day he can spin it)

it also gives you a better idea of how dance music & edits are received in chicago w/ 'the people' rather than, like, the beardos or whatever

Really though, this blows. I can't say I regularly listen to Power92, but loved flipping through stations and hitting upon them during a great mix.
