Voted "Back In The Saddle" on pure gut reaction.

Cream.

― meisenfek, Thursday, 26 February 2009 09:20 (seventeen years ago)

actually its Ain't talkin' 'bout love...

― meisenfek, Thursday, 26 February 2009 09:21 (seventeen years ago)

The Day I Tried To Live = Kashmir backwards, sorta. I've always seen it as a rip-off of the chromatic idea that make Kashmir heavy.

― bendy, Thursday, 26 February 2009 11:18 (seventeen years ago)

This is "Purple Haze" although Hendrix had better riffs than that one.

― Geir Hongro, Thursday, 26 February 2009 11:23 (seventeen years ago)

Best riff: Sunshine Of Your Love

Slash gets a gold star for singling out The Day I Tried To Live, my favorite song on Superunknown.

The Day I... is a strange choice. Soundgarden had some way better riffs.

― Lorax in NYC (some dude), Friday, 27 February 2009 00:55 (seventeen years ago)

I notice "Purple Haze" and "Black Sabbath" are both in the list. Slash has a thing for the tritone, apparently? :)
