Wes HI DEREson (HI DERE), Monday, 9 March 2009 20:38 (sixteen years ago)

"Talk Show Host" has always been one of my favorite non-album tracks by Radiohead. Voted for it. "Lovefool" was a very close runner-up, though.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 9 March 2009 20:40 (sixteen years ago)

"Little Star" easy.

DavidM, Monday, 9 March 2009 21:03 (sixteen years ago)

The Devil's Avocado (Gukbe), Thursday, 19 March 2009 00:05 (sixteen years ago)

Love the strings in the Des'ree song, went with it, but Talk Show Host and Lovefool came very close. Good soundtrack.

Emo blog post alert:

This was played on the bus of a school skiing trip I went on. I only went because a girl I liked was meant to be going but she ended up cancelling for some reason. I had no desire to go skying. I failed to get drink to take up to the place so ended up smoking cigarettes all night and drinking a half bottle of gin I'd stolen from my parents. I didn't sleep at all on the Friday night and had to go skiing at 8am on Saturday. We were in the north of Scotland in February, but for the first time in many years there was not enough snow to ski on. We had to go on a dry ski slope. I fell over a lot of times and had burns all over my legs. We went to church in the afternoon. I fell asleep and was chided by a nun. I quite enjoyed the song "Lovefool".

This was the only album my ninth grade gym teacher would play. More like young hearts run laps, right guys?

Ponies are horse children (Abbott), Sunday, 11 April 2010 03:54 (fifteen years ago)

Seriously though it was WEIRD exercising to the Butthole Surfers.

I remember that Everclear song providing some serious lols....

"be my Romeo...you look so fucking stupid"

Listening to this brings back all kinds of weird feelings. I was 12 at the time. Used to think "Kissing You" was a bit too soft, but hell what a tremendous love song it is.

For an album as fundamentally 90s, some of these songs sound pretty contemporary now.

Mule, Tuesday, 1 October 2013 08:59 (twelve years ago)

Anyone ever figure out what the hell the Butthole Surfers were doing on this?

late 90s Buttholes, granted, but still.

Master of Treacle, Tuesday, 1 October 2013 10:08 (twelve years ago)

Two words: BUZZ BIN

Stupor Fly, Tuesday, 1 October 2013 21:18 (twelve years ago)

And they were on Capital, who issued the soundtrack. Same reason Everclear got on.

A Made Man In The Mellow Mafia (C. Grisso/McCain), Tuesday, 1 October 2013 21:34 (twelve years ago)

yeah, I remember the Everclear song going something like "Be my Romeoooooooo/You look so fuckin' stupid", and being forgettable.

and yeah I think Buttholes were on due to the power of "Pepper" (or is my choronology wrong?)

Neanderthal, Tuesday, 1 October 2013 21:41 (twelve years ago)

Used to think "Kissing You" was a bit too soft, but hell what a tremendous love song it is.

I haven't heard this in donkeys, and I remember this track as being very like "River" Emili Sanda
