Idiot

"Scary Monsters", although "The Idiot" comes close. Closer than any other Iggy related album would be even remotely close to.

Voted for The Idiot. Liking Scary Monsters has always been strictly academic for me, despite admiring "Ashes For Ashes" and "It's No Game"; meanwhile "Tiny Girls," "Dum Dum Boys," and "Mass Production" are more meaningful on this side of thirty.

"do do do do do do do do fa-fa-fa-fashion" vs. "da da da da da da da dum dum day-ay"

"BABY BABY WE LIKE YOUR PANTS!"

Bowie, even though I used to be the Iggy defended against my partisan Bowie friends. Scary Monsters is candidate for best Bowie album imo.

IGGY...IGGY...IGGY...!!!
I've always found Bowie easier to admire, but harder to like.

Lust for Life vs. Lodger.

Really? I would have pegged you as a "Lust For Life" fan.

I will have to relisten to them but am thinking it's going to be "The Idiot"

Idiot, in a walk.

The Idiot, at a reasonable trot.

Really? I would have pegged you as a "Lust For Life" fan.

I am generally not much of a fan of Iggy - his way of singing and his way of writing songs. The reason why I like "The Idiot" is it sounds so much like Bowie.

"China Girl" fite!

Hard Ban the Highway (Ioannis), Wednesday, 11 March 2009 12:50 (sixteen years ago)

the Iggy China Girl is 10,000,000,000,000 better than the Bowie one though I'm guessing a poll here would go the other way

Just one thing I was thinking about as I was getting on the copter (J0hn D.), Wednesday, 11 March 2009 13:06 (sixteen years ago)

I like the Bowie "China Girl" better. More realised as a pop song. "The Idiot" is probably a better overall album than "Let's Dance" though.
