I was just blaring "Iris" when the girl from a neighboring office walked in and slammed our door shut. +1 for "Iris"

the name's ban. suggest ban (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 19 March 2009 04:15 (sixteen years ago)

Iris, but just for legitimate nostalgic connections with the song.

Nurse Detrius (Eric H.), Thursday, 19 March 2009 04:17 (sixteen years ago)

Which were the result of me not switching the channel when it came on, which wasn't the case with "Thing."

Nurse Detrius (Eric H.), Thursday, 19 March 2009 04:17 (sixteen years ago)

"I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" is horrible, "Iris" is aiight

note: any and all comma splices in this post are intentional (Curt1s Stephens), Thursday, 19 March 2009 07:14 (sixteen years ago)

'Iris' is very beautiful, as a stand-alone piece of music (I have to ignore the Johnny Reznick cheese-factor). "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" is written to be a hit, removing any hint of credibility.

drainCosmetics, Thursday, 19 March 2009 07:36 (sixteen years ago)

"iris" sounds like piano man fyi

he sounded italian enough to give me something (the schef (adam schefter ha ha)), Thursday, 19 March 2009 20:59 (sixteen years ago)

DAMMIT DO NOT RUIN "IRIS" FOR ME

Wes HI DEREson (HI DERE), Thursday, 19 March 2009 21:01 (sixteen years ago)

def. "Iris", I don't know if everyone here is being sarcastic (story of my ILX life) but I dig this song

Euler, Thursday, 19 March 2009 21:03 (sixteen years ago)

"Iris" = <3

Sundar, Thursday, 19 March 2009 22:43 (sixteen years ago)

I thought iris was kinda annoying then and really like it now

whereas 'I don't wanna miss a thing' was really annoying then and really annoying now

this better not be close

iatee, Thursday, 19 March 2009 22:46 (sixteen years ago)

Are there any bad rock songs that feature a mandolin?

Sundar, Thursday, 19 March 2009 22:49 (sixteen years ago)

iris isn't that bad. i might secretly prefer slide or name, but i can't really remember.

every time i hear don't wanna miss a thing i'm reminded that these knobs are the same awes band that did rocks and that's sort of depressing/

Iris is saccharine but pretty, "Thing" is saccharine and terrible.

Rock-tinged, over-orchestrated corporate melodrama done right vs. rock-tinged melodrama, over-orchestrated corporate melodrama done easy

ILX chose done right.
