i really didn't find much to like about that new destroyer, but i only listened to it once. i really wanted to like it, and he's one of my favourite songwriters ever, but something about mixing his wild, bony voice with that slick disco shine just didn't do it for me. that hook at the end is really nice, though. going to go listen to it again now.

i'm basically just a sucker for anything this guy does. plus this is hardly the first time he's incorporated disco into his music, "the space race" has a sick disco bridge for example

Yeah, I've heard at least Boom Boom Pow, but I think I was alerted to it via ILM. Those other hits I mentioned found me. Maybe it's because I've got SIRIUS XM radio in the car now? But I doubt it, since I rarely listened to Top 40 this decade, anyway. Anyway, I'm sure you are right. Wiki says that song was No. 1 on the Billboard charts for 12 weeks. Wow!
