inspired by this article that i think is really otm about the overratedness of modern sitek (and also that yyys ballads arent as good/affecting as everyone seems to think) -

Scarlett's album is awesome, mostly because Sitek totally Pharrelled that shit and took it over.

Both Celebration albums are also awesome A+ will rock again

Scarlett album is fucking brilliant! Perfect hazy atmosphere

I think Sitek described it as "Tinkerbell on Codiene" in the liner notes, and damned if I've ever read a better description of it. Total 4AD time. Love it.

Well Sitek's production was easily the best thing about the Scarlett album and the YYYs ballads are brilliant, so that Quietus article wouldn't have a leg to stand on even if it weren't appallingly written.

second Liars is about my favourite, like a 21st Century update on the lo-res spook of SY's Bad Moon Rising

apparently hes producing on the new madvillain album too. cant see that working too great. but i suppose everyone needs the p4k support these days.
