Another keyboard question this time about the System "Don't Disturb This Groove"

It actually concerns the bass sound and the rock guitar sound. I know for
a possible fact that the main bass is either an Ob-Xa or Ob-8 keyboard MIDIed
to a sequencer. The rock guitar sounds are either a gated DX-7 or another variant. Can
Anyone confirm.

12'' Inch with drum machine intro.

Actual song with anime girls.

piggyback question: what synths (incl synth bass) are on Sass - "Much Too Much" and (same cats as Sass) The System - "You Are In My System"?

Startrekman - thanks for asking these questions - I wanna know too. and thanks for bringing and breaking down the synth & drummachine knowledge!

related gear bonus nugget: I think the synth on Liaisons Dangereuses - "Los Ninos Del Parque" is what you listed above - sequenced OB-Xa. OB-Xa = here's the beef! (OB-X allegedly even moreso)

(Japan - "Quiet Life" and "Methods Of Dance" make me wanna save for a Roland System 700 !)

one month passes...

actually i saw this video

it's from an asian show but it showcases the synths used in here. I see from it that MIDI was heavily used here. Notice in some parts that the DX-7 rock bass is actually played from a Roland. David Keith is probably playing the main bass sound which is an OB-Xa bass played via MIDI from the DX-7. As for the drum machine, i see what could look like a DMX behing mr Keith.

the video didn't show above.

It still didn't.

Unless you read/saw somewhere that it's an OBXa, it's possible that any synth could have made that bass sound as it's fairly easy to create. I know I've created something similar on my Juno-106, Akai AX-60, and AX-80. I didn't mess around much with basses when I owned a Casio CZ-3000, but wouldn't put it past that, either.

i was speaking in context of the video. If you look at it, the bass sound is being played via the DX-7. I assume it was MIDI'd into the OB-Xa and that it was triggering the sounds.
