one of the first electronic albums i fell in love with. voted "Charly" for my favorite bass breakdown ever.

myndbloom, Saturday, 4 April 2009 08:07 (sixteen years ago)

It's funny how the sample is "little bit of bass," but it is in fact a metric fuckload of bass.

tits akimbo (kenan), Saturday, 4 April 2009 08:16 (sixteen years ago)

Not funny ha-ha.

tits akimbo (kenan), Saturday, 4 April 2009 08:27 (sixteen years ago)

i had a friend whose car had a blown out woofer so when that song played it would just go silent during that breakdown. it was hilarious the first time, just sad the next few times.

myndbloom, Saturday, 4 April 2009 08:49 (sixteen years ago)

I imagine it sounds just as sad on Apple earbuds.

Jericho, Wind It Up, Your Love, Hyperspeed, Fire, Ruff in the Jungle and of course Out of Space are all worthy. So basically all of it. The single versions of Charly and Everybody in the Place are both better.

"Out of Space" or fuck you.

I have stayed in your favor on this issue. *wipes sweat off brow*

tits akimbo (kenan), Saturday, 4 April 2009 11:28 (sixteen years ago)

go ahead

meisenfek, Saturday, 4 April 2009 12:37 (sixteen years ago)

*Wipes sweat off brow too*

Jilted was their vertical album - stately rhythms to show off their sound effects (and Liam's pretty haircut). This one was their horizontal album - furious forward motion with only tangential consideration for what's up top. But since the songs and the album are shorter, they wind (it) up highlighting what's up top as well anyway. Hence this one's my favorite.

"Everybody In The Place" because of the near-epileptic dickhead dancing that people did at the time, like if Beavis & Butthead were into rave instead of metal...

snoball, Saturday, 4 April 2009 17:56 (sixteen years ago)

sick of it really but probably easier to just vote Out Of Space rather than try and work out if i like one of the others more than the rest

Voted Ruff in the Jungle, but just pulled it out and Your Love is a major contender.
