so, my radio station has an old Emac for an on-air playback source. the 1/8th headphone jack has been acting up and i want to run the audio through a USB port rather than fixing the jack (way hard) or getting a new computer.
criteria:-sounds at least as good as the old headphone jack-doesn't have any issues with the computer sleeping/hibernating. i don't want to have to reset something everytime the computer wakes up.-compatible with a powerpc mac-preferably it has a flat surface about 2" x 1" for me to glue a technalock onto
i don't care about the audio input quality. this computer isn't used for that. should i just get a griffin imic?

I use an Edirol UA-1 and it's a cheap piece of shit but it works fine. I think the more recent product is the UA-1EX.
