List them! (because there's one I'm thinking of and cannot remember for the life of me and is not "Punk Rock Girl")

I'm thinking Nirvana and/or R.E.M.? "Heart Shaped Box" maybe? One of the Monster videos?
Not a video, but there's the "Silencio" scene in Mulholland Dr.

Like "Paid in Full"?

The only thing I remember from this video I'm trying to find is that the singer (possibly in front of a mic? I think so but am not sure) opens his mouth to sing and then just stops. I think it's a grunge-ish song from the late 80's or early-to-mid 90's, and I initially thought it was either a Radiohead, Nirvana, or R.E.M. video but can't find any that do that.

"Losing My Religion" has this, doesn't it?
― Eazy, Friday, 10 April 2009 05:19 (seventeen years ago)
You know, that's the first thing I looked up, but I didn't see it.

Yep, it's right at the beginning, Stipe goes "O life" and then he doesn't sing/lipsync the next line.

Right, he does it again at the end, but I don't think it's the one I'm looking for; I'm near certain the singer opened his/her mouth to sing and then just stopped.
