I threw in the track listing from the cd reissue so Guitar Man would have a chance but you get a Gates solo track too if you're so inclined

could easily go with any of the first six

Even though I prefer the totally awesome Ken Boothe version it has to be "Everything I Own".

Alex in SF, Friday, 10 April 2009 23:27 (seventeen years ago)

will OTM. The first 6 tracks = side 1 of the original "Best of Bread" LP, which is flawless soft rock. Side 2 has some of their failed attempts at hard(-er) rock. There's no good reason to turn that record over.

This should have been called "Baby I'm-A Poll You."

President Keyes, Saturday, 11 April 2009 01:31 (seventeen years ago)

i think i'm going "it don't matter to me"

My dad named me after this song as well, funny story though. He always thought the lyrics said "Audrey was her name." Therefore, my name is Audrey, I pointed out it was actually called Aubrey when I was older, he couldn't believe it XDDD Most epic mess up ever XD

It's hard to believe this is the same David Gates who once wrote and/or produced big and brassy girl group songs like the Girlfriends' "My One & Only, Jimmy Boy" and Dorothy Berry's "You're So Fine."

The Murmaids' "Popsicle & Icicles" is a little easier to believe was him.

It Don't Matter To Me, but not an easy choice.

I just made 30 record bowls a few weeks ago, and one of them was out of THe Best of Bread. And it was all my friends' and my favorite because it was so silly having a bowl that said "The Best of Bread"

We all know you don't like Bread.

"The Last Time" & "Look What You've Done" got the shaft. (Voted "Everything I Own," though.)
