Tell me about the best of Southern Soul/R&B

I've been listening to Don Covay all day and I'm really in the mood for some more -- what are the essential southern soul/R&B albums? Compilations are fine, but I'd prefer them to be one artist rather than various artists (i.e. single-artist "Best ofs" are fine).

Obvious one, 'cos i was listening to it last night, but Arthur Conley's Sweet Soul Music LP is fine stuff - Where You Lead Me, I'm A lonely Stranger, Wholesale Love......
I'll add a few more lately.
