Manson inspired the band Mansun

Um, wrong. Manson inspired artists like Marilyn Manson and Spahn Ranch (and Henry Rollins, Sonic Youth and Evan Dando are "big fans"), but the band name Mansun was inspired by the Verve song, "A Man Called Sun."

Actually StanM was right, Alex, Mansun were originally called Manson, even released a 7" under that name.

I'm 99.9999999% positive that the Verve-derived name story has been backed-up in the press by Draper. Although given his early penchant for situationist bollocks he may have been lying.
