Phil's an unadapted weirdo and Gary's a sick perv. So Charlie wins, he's real.

Wow.

I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Sunday, 19 April 2009 04:50 (seventeen years ago)

Manson's girlfriends could sneak up on Specter, and enlist Specter's girlfriends into their army. Then they could take off their shirts and karate chop Gary Glitter.

Then Micheal Jackson's Rector.

On the other hand, Manson inspired the band Mansun (they were first called Manson and then changed it because of copyright issues or something) :-(

spector is easily the most terrifying of the three. if you had to be stuck in a room with any of them, you'd be safer with manson.

(The Other) J.D. (J.D.), Sunday, 19 April 2009 23:34 (seventeen years ago)

Manson inspired the band Mansun

Um, wrong. Manson inspired artists like Marilyn Manson and Spahn Ranch (and Henry Rollins, Sonic Youth and Evan Dando are "big fans"), but the band name Mansun was inspired by the Verve song, "A Man Called Sun."

Alex in NYC, Sunday, 19 April 2009 23:44 (seventeen years ago)

Mansun is a stupid name. Why do we even know about them.

Kevin Yates, Phys. Ed. (u s steel), Monday, 20 April 2009 08:12 (seventeen years ago)

Actually StanM was right, Alex, Mansun were originally called Manson, even released a 7" under that name.

I'm 99.9999999% positive that the Verve-derived name story has been backed-up in the press by Draper. Although given his early penchant for situationist bollocks he may have been lying.

Sickamous Mouthall (Scik Mouthy), Monday, 20 April 2009 09:55 (seventeen years ago)

So they got their name from the Verve song but changed it to Manson then changed it back to Mansun? I guess that could happen.

I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE UP TO (Colonel Poo), Monday, 20 April 2009 09:58 (seventeen years ago)

I wasn't quite sure anymore and wikipedia seemed to back up what I thought, but that only proves the origin of their name is a bit murky.
