I thought it was pretty cool and rather thoughtful of her.

― Simona, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It would have been better if there was no U2.

― Chris, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes, nice of her, but thoughtful? No. there wasn't much thinking in the sequencing and it's just too 'varied' to work.

― Julio Desouza, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like the "varied" aspect of it. I like how the Smiths goes into Big Black.

― Simona, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Is this your older sister? It seems like something that would have been put together as an "alternative music sampler" in 1989 or thereabouts.

― dleone, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I love compilations like this. Actually, I'd love this regardless because it has "Everyday Is Halloween" on it.

― Dan Perry, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes, she's older.

― Simona, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Simona, I would like a copy would you send me one?

― Chris, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes I will email you and you send me your info. I'm having a party tonight and I think this will be on repeat.

― Simona, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I would just like to say that anything that includes pre - "walk on the ocean" toad the wet sprocket gets my vote. I have a soft spot in my heart for anything off of Pale and Bread and Circus as my ex-gf and I spent many nights in college playing these albums over and over again to the wee hours of the morning. thank you.

― Chris, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"Varied?" I'm in love with this comp because it's a pretty great summary of everything my friends and I were listening to during my first two years of high school. I'd pay money for it.

― nabisco%%, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

nabisco, when I get my copy, she's sending me the mp3's, I will be more than happy to provide you one.

― Chris, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Im not sending you the mp3's it takes toooooooo long. I will send the cd's itself to you. Seeing as your in Massachusetts, you'll get them in a few days.

''19. Style Council ? My Ever Changing Moods 20. Joy Division ? Love Will Tear Us Apart''

I have just proved (by science obv) that compilations like this are crap! And why oh why would anyone wnt to listen to bowie and billy bragg.

I quite like a few of these though.

― Julio Desouza, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Julio, do you ever have anything nice to say about anything? Which ones do you fancy, I'm interested to see what your all about musically.

― Simona, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Simona: I like some of the tracks on this compilation but it's always a problem because you got to skip to get to things I would like (though you must've heard these before and I'm sure your sister knows you like these tarcks). Also it's just mostly indie/grunge's greatest hits, you know though I haven't every single track actually.

Disc 2: I do like tracks 2, 3 ,4, 9, 11 but I haven't heard some of these.

― Julio Desouza, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Thanks Julio, Im glad you didn't say anything negative this time. I appreciate the input. Yes she knows I like these tracks, it is a greatest hits somewhat. But like nabisco said before its mostly a reminder of high-school times, I'm not fond of some of these anymore. it just puts a smile on my face when i here some of them.

― Simona, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

simona- i wasn't entirely negative even before my previous post. I did say: 'I quite like a few of these though.' though i didn't name anything.

― Julio Desouza, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

simona julio is overflowing with positive things to say about journey. otherwise, nope. negative all the way.

― Josh, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yes josh very enthusiastic about journey/skullflower/fushitsusha/huskerdu/minutemen, etc etc

― Julio Desouza, Friday, 21 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The cd's were a big hit at my party, so i guess as long as I enjoy them its all that matters.

― Simona, Monday, 24 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i received my copies of this. if anyone else wants one let me know.
