Ooh, I'll have to listen to this again. Love this record, though. Reminds me of delivering pizza.

previous discussion here,Quicksand - Slip...classic or dud?.

drone/a/sore, Monday, 4 May 2009 21:29 (sixteen years ago)

that might be the most "90s" album cover ever.

Didn't do much for me, except Baphomet, which did A LOT for me.

i love "Can Opener", having trouble remembering the rest.

Dine Alone.

Love this album, a seminal influence on my (post)hardcore band.

went with baphomet after careful consideration.

I have to remember to rebuy this album. I saw these guys at the first Warped tour and they blew my mind. Picked up Slip and Manic Compression not too long after, and loved the bejesus out of them (though I liked MC more). But now both skip like crazy, and they're always something that I mean to pick up but rarely see used.

Could never get into Manic Compression the same way I did with Slip...seemed too focused on the trees and not enough on the forest (or something).

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 17 May 2009 23:24 (sixteen years ago)

always enjoy these polls as it makes me listen to things i have'nt given much play of late. i also have to agree with johnny fever about manic compression not having the same feel as slip.

fourteen years pass...

holy sweet fuck, even after 25+ years, at baphomet.

i cannot quite satify the soft, raw, itching, prodding-of-gum-socket stimulation it delivers as i listen on repeat. i imagine my having not listened to it for so long is the result of a repression to avoid obsession.
