ten off the top of my head is hard but it would include the one about the monkey in the basement, the one about eating jam with the windows closed, the one about burning a chevy and the one where the dude is happy he had no children
― and the gold loogie goes to... (electricsound), Wednesday, 6 May 2009 04:45 (seventeen years ago)
The 'who cares' and 'this dick' remarks threw me. Just lollin, gotcha. This is like the third time in 24 hours I've gone all roboaspie and not got people's joeks.

Last time I was in, my local record store had a selection of new Mountain Goats vinyl. What are the names of best or favorite albums that were likely to have been released in this format. I need to support the record store anyway since it was raining on record store day.

to do this would require a deep thorough spelunking and I ain't gonna do it right now but nobody's put "Against Pollution" or "Love Love Love" on their lists so I'm just gonna say "Against Pollution" and "Love Love Love."

i think that "the fall of the star high school running back" is every bit as good as the "the best ever death metal band out of denton"
the fact that one is one of the most canonical goatz songs is due to the fact that indie rockers like death metal more than american football.
― Deuce Bigalow: Male Juggalo (M@tt He1ges0n), Monday, 8 March 2010 23:46 (sixteen years ago)
Do indie rockers like acid though?
― kingkongvsgodzilla, Monday, 8 March 2010 23:58 (sixteen years ago)
i think fall of the high school running back might have been the first mountain goats song i heard (or at least the first one i paid attention to) - giving ends to your friends and it felt stupendous - so great.
― just sayin, Tuesday, 9 March 2010 09:10 (sixteen years ago)
"Golden Boy" is the only song I'm familiar with, really. Super love it. I've also got a copy of The Sunset Tree, which I listened to a few months ago and was quite good, but I'm not v familiar with any of it.
