Mr Hudson

Brit Indie kid turned bookish rapper, now adopted by Kanye West with his co-produced album coming out in July. Didn't rate his debut when it came out a couple of years ago, the backstory seemed more interesting than the music. However 'There Will Be Tears' mines the same vocoder sadcore of '808's and Heartbreak', but even more devastatingly.

Great video too.

not bad in a 'this is what Chris Martin/Coldplay should aim for' way

i thought his vocals on paranoid were the weak spot. I actually said "what's with is this English indie lad on this chorus?" to my mate the first time I heard it.

That is unlistenable bilge and sounds like an 808s leftover. Especially when he starts ending the sentences with "love".

whereas i assumed it was some Sleepy Brown-esque guy just blaring it out...

i think i;m adding indie after the fact, but i do remember thinking who is this english lad shitting all over this.

you really think he sounds English on 'Paranoid'? i'm going to have to re-listen hard. voice really reminded me of someone American but can't think who now.

Didn't realise the album wasn't out yet. Quite psyched now.

It got 2/10 from the NME so it should be worth a listen.
