My friend played me the Berlin song the other day and I was just like "god what could there possibly be left to enjoy about this song if there was anything to enjoy about it in the first place?"

More Goth Than Your Grandmother (Bimble), Tuesday, 12 May 2009 19:07 (seventeen years ago)

Berlin easy, but you also forgot...

Jessica Simpson brutally fist-rapes Berlin's "Take My Breath Away"

What about the Police?

Going for Berlin for nostalgic reasons and the fact that it doesn't seem to get much ILX love (I could be wrong)

Swat Valley High (goole), Tuesday, 12 May 2009 19:41 (seventeen years ago)

Berlin! even if Top Gun ALMOST ruined it for me. One of the best songs ever!

touch my bum / this is life (daavid), Tuesday, 12 May 2009 21:36 (seventeen years ago)

Yup. Other than over-exposure, I really don't know what's not to like about the Berlin song.

Vast Halo, Tuesday, 12 May 2009 21:50 (seventeen years ago)

if the moroder track doesn't take this, it's prolly time to pack up ILM

butt-rock miyagi (rogermexico.), Tuesday, 12 May 2009 22:00 (seventeen years ago)

Berlin FTW, though I credit Moroder for its brilliance. I can listen to that shit over and over, it has been on my iPod since I first got one.

Moroder bass line, thank you, goodnight

Naive Teen Idol, Wednesday, 13 May 2009 04:48 (seventeen years ago)

tom cruise and kelly mcgillis was some formative shit :/

Swat Valley High (goole), Wednesday, 13 May 2009 05:02 (seventeen years ago)

I always wished that Moroder had stuck with Martha Davis of The Motels... He originally asked her to perform the song (there's a demo of it on one of the Motels anthologies), but ended up going with Berlin (no slight against them, but I like the Motels a lot more)

Carroll Shelby Downard (Elvis Telecom), Wednesday, 13 May 2009 05:13 (seventeen years ago)

might have to go gui

Whiney G. Weingarten, Wednesday, 13 May 2009 07:00 (seventeen years ago)

the Berlin song is among one of the first tracxks I remember really liking as a kid. The warm, round bass hook takes me back to childhood.
