True story:

In my high school, there was this really awkward, completely socially inept kid named Daniel who was a wannabe teachers pet with all his teachers. When one of them(already the mother of two children) had a miscarriage, he NO LIE gave her a rose, a card and a 45rpm of "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad."

The only time I've ever requested a song from a radio station was when I was about ten, called up some major ny station to request Paradise By The Dashboard Light. Then listened for like the next ten hours and the bastards didn't play it!
