They've been on my mind these last couple of weeks! Saw them about...six times around 1991 to 1992. Killer shows each and this was and remains a wonderful album.

Yeah, I had "Diet Pill" on my mind last night when I stopped by CVS.

When I was, like, 14, this drinking buddy of my dad's gave us all these promo tapes that he thought were crap—Bricks Are Heavy, Stoner Witch, Sweet Oblivion, Welcome to Sky Valley—and I played 'em to death. I developed this big, weird crush on Jennifer Finch, like, writing her letters trying to get an interview for my "zine" which didn't even really exist.

In honor of that kid, driving off to Pine Knob in the summer with his goofy industrial buddies to see Lollapalooza '94, it has to be "Shit List," which I thought was the coolest song ever.

L7 was also the reason why I went to see the first Warped Tour, and why I had a weird hatred of Hole that prevented me from enjoying their music for years ("They're just ripping off L7, man!")

I was kinda a weird kid.

Saw them supporting Faith No More on the Angel Dust tour - fantastic gig. Haven't heard this in years - seem to remember loving Slide, or perhaps I'm confusing it with Shove. CSS cover of Pretend We're Dead reminded me what a great song that was - sort of bubblegum-grunge-protest-rock. Must dig out the vinyl.

SHOVE

But I was always a Babes in Toyland guy. Only saw L7 once, opening for Beasties on the Check Your Head tour. Dirty-era SY played a lousy hungover set in-between.

Saw them play this whole album in order tonight, it was brilliant. Would vote for Everglade I think

A fine choice. And last night Chaki was rocking an L7 shirt at his gig so something was in the air.
