If 00's emo-pop were analogous to 90's Nu-metal, which band would be Limp Bizkit?

Pete Wentz would be Fred Durst, right? Although I should be too old to know who either of them are.

It's open to your own interpretation. I was thinking that emo-pop is analogous to nu-metal today and was wondering if anyone else could also see the similarities. Both rule the epicenter of tween culture and capitalize on the biggest musical marketing machines of their day (TRL and myspace/social networking). Both are the bastard child of an already popular subculture. Both are ridiculed for their over the top fashion and theatricality.

Let me give it a shot here:

Limp Bizkit = Fallout Boy - the unofficial face of the genre
Fred Durst = Pete Wentz - the ringleader, equally hated and beloved, fashion icon of the genre (red yankees hat = skinny jeans)

Anyone care to expand?

not a bad analogy - especially in that I never paid much attention to either genre in pretty much equal measure
