Alicia's vocals on "No One" annoyed the fuck outta for a few months, but then one day it just clicked.

I find it barely tolerable. Fergie's singing voice has this very saw-like quality that doesn't stand with me.

That year I'd have voted for Sean Kingston. Now it's "Umbrella," easy.

there are only 3 songs on that list that i don't love, and 2 of those i've never heard of (not that i'm likely to like maroon 5 or plain white ts). a stellar year which should be a somewhat tougher choice except 'umbrella' is really a song for the ages.

'glamorous' is perhaps the most surprising fergie single in retrospect - it's certainly the one where she sounds least ferg-like. not that you can really pin down "ferg-like" after the variation and breadth of the dutchess, but it's pretty restrained for her.

Yeah, me too, I think. "What Goes Around ... Comes Around" also grew on me more and more over time. But almost every song here is good.

It's always refreshing to enter the world of the ILX poptimists. I kinda think of, like, a handful of these songs as pretty great, with only Umbrella as classic, and a lot of novelty (Crank Dat, This Is Why I'm Hot).

voted "beautiful girls," cause i found it hilarious and smiled and laughed every time i heard it. i guess technically i like "umbrella," "stronger," and "buy u a drank" more, but they've aged alot better and are more just plain 'ole good songs. also i still hear those songs on the radio, while "beautiful girls" will immaculately preserved in 2007 amber.

I have a gap in my pop knowledge corresponding to living in another country for almost half the year, but I love at least 6 of these songs. Big Girls don't cry is the fucking worst though.
