i love the space between "Well..." & the lines that follow because it's like that slow-motion moment you experience where you see someone's eyes go crazy right before they unleash an insane tirade & there's just enough time for you to think to yourself, "holy shit." But the ASPCA lyric is delivered really well too so I'm not sure.

You know, we used to sing this song in very early primary school. Like, 6-8 years old.

I remain baffled as to why - and as to how much of the song we learned, seeing as all I recall of it is the "They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA/To the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time" chorus.

WTF school gets kids to sing this at that age? I even have an old tape somwehere of me singing it into a microphone at home, aged 7, in 1978 or so.
