People who have guest-sung with a zillion different electronica acts

Influenced by Bernard Sumner, who has at least provided guest singing on three electronica acts tracks, namely 808 State, Orbital and a lot of Chemical Brothers

I know a lot of Scandinavian female singers have worked with both Kleerup and Röyksopp, but cannot think of any more acts any of them have sung with.

And btw... Not really thinking of rappers here, as rap is more usual than singing in electronica (or at least was in the 90s). KRS-1 would otherwise be a contender, I'd guess.

what orbital track/s is barney on?

Diane Charlemagne. Was a member of Urban Cookie Collective (and some other dance acts I'm not familiar with), has done vocals for tons of artists, including Goldie, Doc Scott, K-Klass, Cotton Club, Satoshi Tomiie, Rhythm Masters, Moby, Eskimos & Egypt, etc. According to Wikipedia she's now working with D:Ream.

FREE DOM AND ETHAN (special guest stars mark bronson), Wednesday, 17 June 2009 10:36 (seventeen years ago)

Bernard Sumner does the 'Satan' intro. He's crafty like that.

Hard House SugBanton (blueski), Wednesday, 17 June 2009 10:41 (seventeen years ago)

which led to the hit song 'Regret' a few years later

From my knowledge, Sumner sings on "Belfast/Wasted".

Nah mate that's their longtime collaborator Grant Fulton

And, well, if you include more commercial dance, I guess Martha Wash and Loletta Holloway should both be in here, although some of those were samples and not newly recorded performances.

Geir Hongro, Wednesday, 17 June 2009 11:01 (seventeen years ago)

Bjork's done Plaid and 808 State.

Would fit perfectly in with the rest of the guest singers Kleerup and Röyksopp have used too. Maybe next time....

Geir Hongro, Wednesday, 17 June 2009 11:02 (seventeen years ago)

Toni Halliday (of Curve) with Leftfield, Freaky Chakra, DJ Acucrack & Bias.

What a surprise, Geir starts a thread and within mere words of beginning type he's talked some shit and made wild proclamations that are untrue.

Sickamous Mouthall (Scik Mouthy), Wednesday, 17 June 2009 11:20 (seventeen years ago)

This thread should be entitled 'list of vocalists any dance act should avoid for fear of looking like a massive cliche'.

#1 on this list for all time is Hope Fucking Sandoval.

Paul St. Hilaire hasn't been mentioned?

I know Kylie sang on a Pet Shop Boys song; I assume she's done stuff with a bazillion other ppl.

But no electronica acts other than her own producers. I guess Nick Cave and Robbie Williams don't quite count as electronica. :)

Geir Hongro, Wednesday, 17 June 2009 18:59 (seventeen years ago)

Other than his own solo album, has Erlend Øye ever guested on any electronica acts' recordings besides Röyksopp?

Geir Hongro, Wednesday, 17 June 2009 19:00 (seventeen years ago)

Sylvian?
