That's absolutely awful to read. "Spice" and "Fear: The Mindkiller" remain two of the best artifacts of the era, and were kinda instrumental in terms of breaking techno to a wider audience out here in SoCal back in 1991. RIP indeed.

Just spotted this on 4four as well. Sad news. Only just bought a Minimal Man 12 the other day as well.

This man is responsible for some of my favorite rave tracks of all time; I played "Fear: The Mindkiller" and "Spice" to death at college parties and still bump that album at least once every 3 months. RIP.

I think it was his mix of Ascension on the Bizarre Inc album that was so good. Is he the one who ran Vinyl Solution? I went in the shop on Portabello road (I think) way back in 94 or so.

Overheard someone talking about this on Saturday and thought I'd misheard. Poor guy. Loved loved loved Eon. Still find myself reciting the words and bonkers sonics of Inner Mind and Fear: The Mindkiller (never actually seen Dune) all the time.

weird, i had no idea who this guy was and then he died and i was like THAT GUY DID SPICE? WHY HE DIE.

I remember listening to EON while dishwashing at a vegetarian restaurant. I was pretty picky about my techno in those days, but it was good stuff.

Missed this story. RIP dude.

Got a copy of the Spice 12" for A meagre $5 today. Am simultaneously enjoying it and saddened by his death.
