love this album.
reminds me a bit of tom waits, lou reed and obv, the idiot. makes me want to seek out more stuff like this.

Saw this used the other day and thought about picking it up.

I cannot think of a single worse record than this in his whole career. Very embarrassing. You can really feel he just wasn't there when it was recorded - which was actually the case, at least for most of the instrumental parts.

i changed my mind from 'love' to 'like quite a bit'. some of the production is a bit dated, he doesnt sound totally commited to the material and i was hoping it would be more in the vein of king of the dogs. but i dunno about it being his worst album.

Something just tells me it's going to be Avenue B MK II, and that doesn't really inspire me.
