Their last two albums had big helpings of Beatles cops. I'm actually surprised they didn't put out a disc performing the entire Sgt. Pepper album which I seem to recall them doing at the Hollywood Bowl in 2008. Or maybe they did and I missed it.

Yeah, I actually had that. Pretty good imitation but it made me want to hear the original.Cheap Trick actually was out here doing Sgt. Pepper live, too.

the new album is decent. they still know how to write a tune. some decent rockers that would probably sound good live. nothing too mushy. but, you know, nothing really exciting either. robin still sounds great. still one of the greatest rock singers still singing, if you ask me. i can't think of too many people who can sell a song so effortlessly. he generally makes an okay song seem better than it is. he's a great actor.

They should send me a review copy. It's not like they're going to get the mileage they deserve. Rockfield didn't. Neither did Special One.
