OK, so I'm new here and this is the first thread I've started, so I hope this is cool. I want to talk about dimeadozen.org, which (in case anyonedoesn't know it) is a torrent site from which you can download hundreds of unofficial live recordings – audience, soundboard, FM, you name it. Because it takes great care to avoid anything that's ever gotten a commercial release, it manages to stay on the right side of copyright. As well, artists who want their recordings removed can just ask and it's done.
I've found some amazing gigs on this site, many of which outstrip the official live albums. A slew of late 70s/early 80s Genesis material, includinga secret gig at the Marquee in London in 1982. Bunch of rare Leonard Cohen recordings, Braxton, most of the legendary Springsteen boots – the listgoes on. Accounts are not easy to come by, but can be had if you persevere. Check it out.
