The Real Ramona. The first has its (rough) charms but it's not The Real Ramona. House Tornado beats both of them though.

This doesn't even need thinking about for me! It's probably mainly down to the (over)production on Real Ramona I guess but the 1st album is so far above it to me. Hunkpapa also ruined by production IMO

The first one is probably more important art, but RR is the full realization of their craft, spliced w/ some of the best folk-pop ever, so that by about 10,000 miles.

the first one is constanly a better,sharper record, and has no fillers whatsoever.the amount of emotional intensity it delievers is one of the highest that was ever recorded by anyone.
BUT Ramona,with it's sometime blurry production (that with all it's defaults has it's charms) has Two Step,Hook In Her Head,Not Too Soon and Ellen West,which are small capsules of perfection, and in the long run i return to them more often than the songs on the ST.
so i don't know what to choose,really

house tornado is better than both though..
