I guess "Narra Mine" is gonna win (and it deserves to), but I'll go with "Waistline Firecracker". Great use of Tchaikovsky there.

Bump.

No one's heard this?

― Tuomas, Wednesday, 1 July 2009 13:43 (seventeen years ago)

Wow. I had this album way back in my Wu fanboy days, purchased on the basis of what I recall being a one verse appearance by Cappadonna. Can't say I remember much of it, except that I think that the first (instrumental?) track was pretty good to my teenage ears, so that gets my vote.

oh shit I never heard this

Me neither but I'm just voting for Eek-a-Mouse

Yeah, there's only one verse by Cappadonna, but it's a pretty dope verse. I think Otherized F.A.M. were also second-tier Wu affiliates?

That Eek-A-Mouse tune is crazy as fuck, probably the third best on the album after "Waistline Firecracker" and "Narra Mine".

― Tuomas, Wednesday, 1 July 2009 13:53 (seventeen years ago)

You gotta love a reggae tune with a 303 riff.

"Narra Mine" is pretty sweet, listening on Youtube. That's gotta be one of the best deployments of the "Funky Drummer" break I've heard.

Narra Mine 4 all time. i remember hearing Waistline Firecracker on daytime Kiss FM. apparently there's a "Shitty Remix".

Tuomas why you have to start me raving on a Wednesday afternoon?

Looks like the whole album is up on Youtube btw

Didn't really feel that Eek-a-Mouse joint tbh.

I've always thought that "genocide makes me nervous" was a bit of an understatement.

― Spencer Chow, Wednesday, 1 July 2009 23:53 (seventeen years ago)

Love the Armand Van Helden mixes of "Narra Mine" too, but I'm sure that's on another thread. Need to find this album!

two years pass...

Bought this yesterday for £1. First track is great.

It feels pretty relevant too. But maybe I'm hopelessly out of date.
