If we haven't, we should. To make this easy, you could look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABBA_discography#Singles. And let's not bother fighting over whether songs were singles in Zimbabwe or Palau.
My favorite five of the moment:Move On (Spanish version, Al Andar, is almost better)My Love My LifeAs Good As NewSlipping Through My FingersDisillusion

― Fetchboy, Sunday, 12 July 2009 14:00 (fifteen years ago)
And I'll round out my top5 with:I Wonder (a departure)Two For the Price of One (maybe the most underrated abba song?)
― Fetchboy, Sunday, 12 July 2009 17:22 (fifteen years ago)
Happy New Year is listed as a single.
...in the Netherlands and Ireland. Where it didn't even chart. I say it counts.

I bought the box set for a steal a few months ago but hadn't given it much time. I queued it all up and had a listen.
"As Good As New""My Mama Said"
That's it. So many lousy songs! I don't even like half the songs on Gold.
― abanana, Tuesday, 14 July 2009 12:52 (fifteen years ago)
Well, the box sounds like it's just for you!
― Naive Teen Idol, Tuesday, 14 July 2009 13:41 (fifteen years ago)
'if it wasn't for the nights' = could have been a worldwide number 1 had it been a single. 'tiger''when i kissed the teacher''that's me''so long'
cracking idea for a thread this, can't believe we never did this in all this time and after all these threads.
i've said this before but whoever picked the tracks for 'MORE GOLD' should be sent away to an island for a very long time. just thinking about it winds me up.

"Cassandra" sounds like they're being backed by Vangelis (and that's a good thing). I need to check out "That's Me."
"Disillusion" is from Ring Ring and it's incredible how fully formed ABBA's ballad style was before they were even ABBA.
Also, funny how many people here are checking "Happy Hawaii" given that it's just an early version of "Why Does It Have to Be Me?"...which nobody mentions.
― Naive Teen Idol, Thursday, 16 July 2009 18:10 (fifteen years ago)
Some thing:
1. I'm the only one who checked it.
2. It's actually "Why Did It Have to Be Me?"
3. "Happy Hawaii" is waaaay more Abba-esque. After all, Alice has been there.

not sure this technically counts but "you owe me one" deserves mention (never appeared on an album - b-side to "under attack")

Interesting how many Waterloo songs are picked here.
Fair nuff. I guess some other people have mentioned it elsewhere.
I'll also rep for "Just Like That" -- which, if we ever heard the whole thing (it's excerpted on that "medley" of outtakes from the 1994 box and on the complete set as well) would be up there with "Under Attack," "I Am the City" and "You Owe Me One" among the awesomely Sedaka-esque synthpop of their last recordings.
― Naive Teen Idol, Friday, 17 July 2009 02:23 (fifteen years ago)
Also, abanana may be wrong about Abba have a grand total of TWO interesting non-single songs (listen to "Move On," for chrissakes, dude), he's damn right about the stutter-y funk of "My Mama Said." It sounds like nothing else in their catalog.
Waterloo!!

the swedish duo gemini released an official version of "just like that", which sounds somewhat more forlorn than the extant ABBA demo version:
