Switch/Debarge-style slow jams

Debarge has been covered on the board--Switch not as much. Can their slow jams be topped? So emotional (some might say over-the-top, but not me) and beautiful. Tommy's falsetto just kills me! Jermaine Jackson produced and played on their first five albums, I believe. I love that quick bass style, the late '70s productions and keyboards, the orchestration, and of course the sugar sweet vocals. I could do without a lot of the dance tracks ("Next to You," which has some impressive vocal runs, "You Pulled a Switch," and "Reaching for Tomorrow" are my favorites). But, come on, those slow jams!!

"There'll Never Be"
"I Call Your Name"
"You're the One for Me"
"Love Over and Over Again"
"You and I"
"My Friend in the Sky"
"Don't Take My Love Away"
"I Finally Found Someone New"

So, my question is, what are some similar artists? I suppose you'd call the style Quiet Storm (with a touch of disco). Champaign comes to mind, but they're kind of a one-hit wonder ("How 'Bout Us"). I know there's a lot of this stuff, but Switch has a bunch of solid albums...I'm looking for that more than a few tracks here and there.

"i call your name" is so great. There are so many amazing things about this track.
1. "In-mature"
2. "I'm a man now baby" (totally thought it was a girl)
3. This is the highest falsetto I've EVER heard.
4. Those drums.
5. That bridge is so sampleable. Anyone done this?
6. It's sheer ridiculousness.
7. The vocals get higher and higher. Must be some seriously tight underwear.
8. Slowing this down in audacity makes his voice practically normal.

"I call your name" is so awesome. Wasn't that your first ever dream chimney post Jaxon?

Last year I downloaded all the Switch albums (which are all OOP I believe) and there are a bunch of great album tracks hidden amongst the singles.
