"he said...all things passantino the night" (omar little), Friday, 17 July 2009 03:53 (fifteen years ago)

It's like a soundtrack to the long awaited Nic Harcourt biopic.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 17 July 2009 03:54 (fifteen years ago)

gonna go with the ed harcourt. and it's not very good. maybe the al green is sweet? i don't know.

tylerw, Friday, 17 July 2009 03:55 (fifteen years ago)

are nic harcourt and ed harcourt related?

tylerw, Friday, 17 July 2009 03:55 (fifteen years ago)

It would explain a lot.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 17 July 2009 04:00 (fifteen years ago)

I'd probably grab the Brand New Heavies cd just to remind myself why I liked it when I was 20.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 17 July 2009 04:03 (fifteen years ago)

i would take m83 or BRMC if i didn't have them both

interesting that both those 2 (and the VHS or beta) are copy controlled. wondering if that's why they've been left behind

matt preston's cravat rack (electricsound), Friday, 17 July 2009 04:05 (fifteen years ago)

lex pretend, Friday, 17 July 2009 08:22 (fifteen years ago)

Well, the "best" is one you know, so you'd probably have already.

I'd probably take the Moby, but for why I can't explain.

Mark G, Friday, 17 July 2009 09:27 (fifteen years ago)

I know I am the only person in the world who liked that weird electronic Medicine album (Medicine fanatics included, apparently) but I still think it's amazing and highly worth a listen.

I just put I M Yrs on my "5 U Need 2 Hear" mix for the week for those amazing oscillating synth washes - which are the kind of thing Aeroplane are getting mad props for doing now.

Violent In Design (Masonic Boom), Friday, 17 July 2009 10:02 (fifteen years ago)

"mad props" ? jeez, I have been hanging out with teenagers too mcuh on the internets lately.

Violent In Design (Masonic Boom), Friday, 17 July 2009 10:06 (fifteen years ago)

aeroplane / mad props = intentional pun?

grocery groin (snoball), Friday, 17 July 2009 10:18 (fifteen years ago)

yes. yes it was. of course. that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Violent In Design (Masonic Boom), Friday, 17 July 2009 10:23 (fifteen years ago)

Mechanical Forces of Love is beyond awesome.

mark e, Friday, 17 July 2009 11:35 (fifteen years ago)

When I was just starting to work as a writer, a guy I worked with made me a tape with my first real introduction to Flaming Lips, Spiritualized and Medicine on it, and so I'd probably pick that up.

I like that you're still using that BigLurks quote from the old punk thread for your username. I'm sure he appreciates it.

I'd go with...Al Green or the Jayhawks?

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 17 July 2009 17:44 (fifteen years ago)

That one Graham Coxon album is actually pretty good. I was surprised. Would make for a fun week-long fling, but you won't marry it.

dlp9001, Friday, 17 July 2009 18:29 (fifteen years ago)

"I like that you're still using that BigLurks quote from the old punk thread for your username. I'm sure he appreciates it."

He gets a fat ILX publishing royalties check every month, no doubt.
