What do you listen to when you're drunk and rocking out by yourself?? List and/or talk about your staples.

Is this different from what you listen to when you're sober and rocking out by yourself?

Me: Country stuff (Dolly, Waylon, Billy Joe Shaver, and so on)...and High Rise. As loud as I can get away with playing them.

lol these are otm. I'm that way with anything by Limp Bizkit, too, which is strange because I've never been an avid fan.

And anything by AC/DC.

The Murder Junkies (sans dead GG) almost played the town I used to live in...I forget what happened to that. Would have been a weird show.

I guess that's only vaguely interesting if you've lived your entire life in small towns and don't ever see "real" bands.

my stooges routine is: drink a beer early saturday night, put fun house on, try to chug a beer per song until i'm buzzed by "dirt" and i don't care. it is "1970" then and i feel alright and the title song comes on and i am ready for whatever. if i have nothing going on, repeat until pass out

kamerad, Wednesday, 22 July 2009 17:11 (fifteen years ago)

Thrash metal and early 90s UK rave probably get the most airings.

Toying with "Last Played" filter in iTunes confirms what I soberly suspected: a heavy bias towards Detroit and Detroit-ish rock- lately meaning Death, Alice Cooper, Suzi Quatro, White Stripes and Radio Birdman. Right before the end of such enchanted evenings: High on Fire and Blood Visions and Birthday Party.

yes rly, although it's usually biking or walking home drunk rather than sitting around at home, which i'm sure is also super fun
