I love the way that 'If You Feel' starts. Rhythm guitar begins, drummer joins playing this drum roll rhythm thing. Tambourine starts bashing away. Lead guitar on next with a strange clipped. Marty then starts singing, but it's not until he's sung a few lines that the bass finally saunters in off the street and in such a sweet and suave manner and it just totally pwns the whole fucking thing. So good.

Triad is very lol though. Threesome with David Crosby anyone?

"In Time"

The Wild Shirtless Lyrics of Mark Farner (C. Grisso/McCain), Tuesday, 21 July 2009 19:37 (sixteen years ago)

Hey I Love Rainbow Cookies, you know I am a prisoner to this album! I do not wish to stay up late, raving on a message board about how dark and lovely is 'The House At Pooneil Corners;' or how I strangely no longer feel like china breaking as often as I used to; or how parents of many, many generations must hate 'Triad;' or how I still love to sing 'Greasy Heart' at top volume in the car whenever the opportunity arises; or if perhaps "Ice Cream Phoenix" is my favorite Christmas carol; or how I can smell the blood of generations of predecessors in 'Crown of Creation;' or why 'Lather' stands alone in all of modern pop music. This is the album, right here.

Lather.
