Inspired by the best of Pointer Sisters thread. These guys were way smoother. For me it's a toss-up between the metal melodrama of Making Love Out of Nothing At All and the dark synth surprise of Sweet Dreams.

No "Two Less Lonely People In The World", no credibility.

kornrulez6969, Friday, 24 July 2009 13:30 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah, my sister owned that cassette and I knew there was one hit that inexplicably went missing - and with a mere 9 songs instead of the standard 10, wtf?

As a rule, I tend to like the ones with "love" in the title more than the rest; and "Even the Nights Are Better" is the exception that proves the rule. That's the one I feel the most, and I vote for that.

These guys should be clubbed into submission with tyre irons.

My third concert ever was Air Supply at the DE State Fair when I was in third grade.

Making Love out of Nothing At All is way too ridiculous and epic not to vote for.

wasn't 'Making Love Out of Nothing At All' produced by the same guy who did the overtop production for Bonnie Tyler?

Jacob Sanders, Friday, 24 July 2009 22:10 (sixteen years ago)

was there any band that ever wore more sweaters than these guys?

Making Love Out of Nothing At All has a pretty metal guitar solo, huge drum sounds, and absolutely sky-shattering melodrama. One of THE most epic songs ever.

There's no actual Sweet Dreams video so please accept this one I found that uses Harry Potter footage.

The song is so synth heavy, it could be almost be off Pyromania or Signals. Way dark for these guys.

mookieproof, Saturday, 25 July 2009 01:40 (sixteen years ago)

i liked them around eight as well. so i downloaded this earlier this year to see if i liked any of it. while listening to this shit i thought no man should ever listen to this stuff by choice. glad that over the years i actually got to know good music. life is too short to listen to this crap but if your a fan more power to you.

voted for "The One That You Love."

You do have to be pretty comfortable with yourself to rock these jams as a grown up. Feels good.

Nate Carson, Saturday, 25 July 2009 02:16 (sixteen years ago)

they made every tackle at the sound of the whistle and they made all the stadiums rock

Wish I could find a higher res version of this photo. I love to ask my friends (particularly ladies and gay dudes) who the hottest guy in this pic is. It's tough!

Thanks! But you didn't pick your favorite. I kinda like the nurse guy.

Nate Carson, Saturday, 25 July 2009 02:39 (sixteen years ago)

I had no idea that there were 28 guys in Air Supply! As if two weren't bad enough. Anyway, I was ready to reach for my clubs when that video reminded me that "All Out of Love" is the only one that is close to redeemable.

Agreed and that's why it's getting my vote. What more could you really want from a song?
