I think i read once that Byron Coley said this was one of his all-time fave albums ? mebbe I dreamed it, but i feel kinda confident about that

yeah this is a record so dope that a song as strong as 'child of mine' probably won't be able to compete with several others.

I bought this record a year ago, but really didn't listen to it, so thanks to this thread listening to it now - it's great. I'll vote later. On a slightly related topic, has anyone heard this? I've tried to get it from iTunes and other places a few times but failed:

As for the album, Wikipedia basically says it's loads of boring jams. Allmusic gives it one star and everyone on Amazon slags it off, but check out that track and the sleeve, I mean it's bound to be great.

Haven't heard it either - I always found it a bit strange that it seemed to have so little to do with the famous Fleetwood Macs on either side. Went with 'Danny's Chant' for the title. I imagine it as a proto 'We Will Rock You', or maybe early Spandau Ballet.

This was my favorite album of theirs for years, until Mystery To Me gave me 2nd thoughts.

I do love the start of Danny's Chant, but have to go for Dust.

Played "Sentimental Lady" the last time I djed at the Hangover Lounge & it went down very well.

False. It's fiery, psychedelic, and exciting. And it can be found used for reasonable prices.

Love Kirwan so much. Article is dead wrong about Second Chapter imo.

Has there ever been a decent anthology/compilation put out of the post-Green, pre-Buckingham Nicks years?

The only semi-official thing I've ever found is that weird Madison Blues album, and then various live shows scattered around (I think I remember that Wolfgang's Vault used to have some interesting ones...I wonder where they've ended up).

I wish Mick and John would acknowledge these years a little more - there's some great stuff on those albums. Without this era, there wouldn't have been a Buckingham-Nicks era.

Yup! It's the one I would have voted for.

There are some weird live moments with early Buckingham/Nicks playing songs from this era, before they realized that they were the future of the band. I know they do "Oh Well" but that's kind of different.

Nice to know that Nicks and Buckingham had no hard feelings.

I have a bootleg, Rockhoppers Live from 1976, with Buckingham/Nicks doing Station Man, Spare Me A Little and Hypnotized alongside Rhiannon, Landslide etc.

on the '88 world tour the band was still performing Welsh-Kirwan era tunes.

this was a good record but I like Future Days a whole lot more.
