The worst Genesis album of the 70s is still great and way better than its reputation. Sure it was more of a "pop" album, but not a bad one in any way.

My vote here is for "Burning Rope", which may be an obvious pick for most Genesis fans. But there are other great tracks too: "Down And Out", "Undertow", "Scenes From a Night's Dream", "Snowbound", "Many Too Many".

Geir, how come you loathe "pop" Genesis but love "pop" Cure? It makes-a no sense.

still a disappointing album, but I've grown to like a few things on here, I just don't like them THAT much. Down and Out, I guess.

The first Genesis album I ever heard, and I love it for that reason. Went for "The Lady Lies", because of the line "...and something special after if you like". My 11-year-old self wasn't quite sure what the special thing was, but knew it would be great and mysterious anyway.

I don't loathe "pop" Genesis, just that symphonic Genesis is much better.

pop Genesis was ok until Phil Collins just turned them into another extension of his solo act. aka...Abacab was cool.

Wasn't going to vote in this because I thought I didn't remember anything from it but "Follow You, Follow Me," but I forgot "Scenes From A Night's Dream" was on this record! Love the little run of chords right after "Nemo, get out of bed."
