Oooh this is tough but I think it would have to be Say You Love Me for me too.

"Warm Ways" is McVie's best song, so that.

dunno if "Warm Ways" is her best song! but it does get my vote here, too.

"I'm so Afraid" just beats "Rhiannon" for me.

This has always been a Side 1, Track 1 for me: Monday Morning. Although voting against Rhiannon is almost physically painful.

This. I *think* I stand by my vote but have been listening and question myself all day. Too many gems.

I love how full of shit Lindsey Buckingham is on "Monday Morning" which gets my vote. First he's got travelin' on his mind; then he says "I'll be there if you want me to." But especially in the wake of the sexual revolution, there's not much he can do to prevent all the Rhiannons in his life from playing the same "hittin' the road" games. So he makes funky with his wounded machismo, resulting in the most charitable and joyfully resigned song in his oeuvre.

And as with so much great popcraft, we don't even have to process his words. All we really need is for him to make the next verse funkier than the previous which he does first by cramming more words into the third line ("then you get on down the line"), then with a scrumptiously placed "oh" before the last "first you love me."

Then comes "Say You Love Me." Christine McVie's codas (see also "You Make Loving Fun") were peerless.

Worst song: "Sugar Daddy." Then "Crystal."

Fun fact from Wiki: "Both "Rhiannon" and "Monday Morning" were written during the Buckingham Nicks days, though only performed live. The early version of Rhiannon was played much faster, in what was described by one reviewer of the time as a 'polka' style."

I voted for "Rhiannon." Question tho inspired by the pic in OP: Do you think Mick Fleetwood felt left out since he wasn't in a relationship in the band?

Also, this pick reminds me that I've always thought of Fleetwood Mac (Buckingham/Nicks, McVie era) as more of a collective/commune than just a band.

Mick totally had a thing with Stevie. It was later than in that pic, but still. I'm sure there was plenty of sex to go around.

Yeah, I'm sure they were all sleeping with each other, but even if Mick had a thing with Stevie, it wasn't one of the band's core relationships. He never sang "Go Your Own Way" to her.

Also, "Warm Ways" definitely not her best song. "Songbird," I think.

They were together for a while, I thought.

I love how the album opens with Lindsey and with a bang and you know, it was nu-FM! Love Monday Morning anyway, gonna vote for that because the guitar is great.

I can't find a Rumours poll. It's really between Fleetwood Mac and Joni Mitchell as the two most important musical acts in my life. (At least when I was growing up, and through hgh school... and okay, like last week when I listened to Court and Spark about a dozen times, and like, now since I've seen this thread I haven't been able to turn off Fleetwood Mac...)

"Warm Ways" might be McVie's best if only the chorus didn't remind me so much of the chorus of Janet Jackson's "Together Again" which itself always sounded like a TV theme song I can't recall now (or was it a Coke commercial?).
