well I do agree that the FF shouldn't be in no Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. I mean not even close.

this is a really rad album imo its sweet and v. funny but sad too

no song on this is as good as "everlong" tho

i dunno i got tired of Everlong fast even though it was at one point my favorite off of Colour and the Shape...

yah - im listening to the s/t now and plan on listening to that next so well see if mo holds up

in terms of the poll qn so far its "big me" which kind of sounds like weezer w/o the date rape emotions

I now despise the Foo Fighters. The first 2 albums were great, but the new ones suck whale sperm through a straw. Why you no good no more Dave?

true story:

the summer i was eleven i bought the s/t and i think maybe an r.e.m. cd and after i got back from the mall i rode my bike to my friend w4rren's house so we could play sfII and listen to my new cds. when we biked back to my house to go swimming my mom asked if we wanted to go get ice cream. for some reason when we got to the ice cream place i got annoyed by the cds in pockets and put them on top of the car but then forgot abt them because this kid i new was there w/ his older sister getting ice cream and we started talking and i have add. it wasnt until i got home that i remembered id left my new cds on top of the car and when i got out and looked the rem cd was still there but this one was gone

wait is the point of this story 'small children stole this but did not care for R.E.M.' or 'R.E.M. are more immune to gravity than the foo fighters'

because if the latter maybe they should learn to fly

the car was actually one of those old land rovers so small children probably didnt take it and giants are well known to only enjoy garage, two-step and mendelsohn so the latter

"x-static" tht this was a crappy metal band but i guess its a pretty dope ff song - maybe the 3rd best so far - the sweet build is nice but it drops off too quick

Hmm, bought a new copy the other day. doesn't sound as good as I remembered it although it is still enjoyable. I was 15 at the time I Loved it...amazing what 13 years does.

this band is boring imo

they are now, sure....the only song of theirs in recent years I liked (other than maybe "Best of You") was "All My Life"...you coulda kinda tell hew as being influenced by QOTSA at the time, who he was drumming for.

They started to become overproduced as early as The Colour and the Shape.

big me is great, but i also like x-static. the rockers on this one are pretty ham-fisted. i like when dave lets up a little and swings.

I saw him do these tracks at Tramps in NY shortly before the album came out, w/ most of the initial band config (Pat Smear for sure). Was surprised it was above Drummer Writes median.

I saw them on tour after the album was released...still have the autographed ticket when I met Grohl briefly after the show. the flannel shirt was sadly thrown out by my mom though :(

this is a great album! the only foo fighters' album i'm really all that familiar with it and it's awesome.

I've spent time with all the other Foo records over the years, but I think working in a record store the summer of 1995 caused me to overdose on this one from daily plays. Listening to it right now for the first time since then (probably). A lot of these songs are better than I remember them being, and OMG "Weenie Beenie" is an awesome punch in the face that I once loved but had erased from memory.

"Big Me", but only because I liked the vid.

exhausted because of the false endings and the opening line. this album is great, and i love their third as much too - its totally power-pop, almost posies-esque.

So was I! My friend got concussed and had his limp body passed over the front few rows to security as a semi-conscious crowd surfer! It was completely nuts, and the only time I've felt claustrophobic enough in a crowd to have to get out. My friend got to meet some people out of Supergrass while he was getting first aid backstage though.

We were somewhere at the back, in relative safety, and we had to leave as one of our group voted we go and see Bjork.

Wattershed was a fav when I was 15....it didn't hold up as well on a repeat listen.
