AND I FORGOT TO INCLUDE THAT ONE. I am clearly retarded today. :(

Interestingly it doesn't appear to be an option.

I'm torn between Journey in Satchidananda and Transfiguration. I know everyone's supposed to worship the albums with strings, but I like her small group stuff the best.

unperson, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 23:26 (sixteen years ago)

yeah, me too -- while the strings/orchestral stuff is at times insanely good, i find it a little exhausting ... the first four records, on the other hand, are pure bliss.

tylerw, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 23:30 (sixteen years ago)

unperson, really? I think the albums with strings are largely overlooked, UC being a popular favorite notwithstanding.

Turangalila, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 23:31 (sixteen years ago)

I missed an opportunity to see her, like two weeks before she died.

Ptah is my favorite, if only because I think the themes are the most direct of her career. But really, anything in the first five will have me grinning all day. (It was actually an ILXor who sent me Huntington, back before I could score a used copy. Is it still officially out of print?)

More than any other ILX poll I've ever seen, the results are just about perfect (except that many, many more people should have voted).
