Personally I think Stop To Love has more meat than Dancing on the Ceiling. Stop To Love has motown vocals, catchy 80's synths and classy productionDancing however has a catch easy to get sound and more party like production.

I think i identified the problem with Dancing on the Ceiling.
It was made too late. If it was a follow up to "All Night Long" or "Running in the Night" It probably would have been good. It's just about two years too late for the style of the song.

Clearly no contest. I like Lionel Richie but this is probably one of his worst songs, although I think it may have been a big hit (and a staple on MTV, no doubt). The song has a bit of a chugging 'Ghostbusters' feel buried in there, mixed with generic '80s radio pop rock (Huey Lewis, Rolling Stones etc. etc.).
