I don't have a job/don't make much money, and even the non-deluxe packaging is gonna be too pricey 10
Fuck you, Mom and Dad (or Grandma and Grandpa, as the case may be); I'll support my own generation's culture, thanks 10
I am not an audiophile nerd/I don't think they're gonna sound that much better 8

The first two options apply to me.

my original us lps are fine by me, despite the differing track orders. i'm not a beatles completist/obsessive, and have no problems with the original american issues (generally. admittedly the track listings on revolver/rubber soul are weaker on the american pressings, but this has never bothered me much.)

'Cuz I've repeatedly deleted the digital Beatles that I have, sold off the CDs, and seem to be living just fine with a couple thrift store LPs of Help and Rubber Soul.

I think Apple shot themselves in the foot with these remasters by not including unreleased bonus tracks, which would certainly tempt to into buying it if nothing more than to 'vote with my money' to get more fresh stuff released. Listened to The Who Sell Out remaster from the mid-90s today, with the almost 100% extra material on it; THAT is how you do a remaster.

after the Anthologies, is there really any more? Besides Carnival of Light?

I think the singles should be bonus tracks (and maybe the best outtakes or whatever.) Past Masters is pretty annoying.

Not that I am rebuying these either way.

^Truth. (except I prefer bonus material on a separate disc)

(also true, but that one's an exception: It feels like a "side three" to me)

I didn't vote -- and I wouldn't put it quite that way -- but the "I'll support my generation's culture, thanks" would be my choice. Mind you, "my generation's culture" is different from most of yours, I'd guess.

Kids today. (*rolls eyes*)

Anyone heard of anyone hearing them? I been guessing they're just going to be brick-wall compressed to hell. . .

Someone I know slightly (friend of a friend) got a chance to listen to some snippets at Bob Ludwig's studio in Portland (Ludwig is not involved, but one of his engineers has volunteered his ears as a professional favor). He thought they were comparable in clarity to the Love remixes and not "louderized". He heard Love on the same sound system so it wasn't just the thousands of dollars in equipment making one equal to the other.
